Exclusive: Former ATP Star and Pickleball Pro, Vince Van Patten, Speaks on the Rise of Pickleball

Pickleball professional Vince Van Pattern discusses rise of sport.

Dink it Over was joined by former ATP Rookie of the Year and Pickleball Senior Pro Circuit player Vince Van Patten to discuss the rise of pickleball and his latest venture, a World Poker Tour cruise voyage that will feature the Vince Van Patten Pickleball Invitational.

Van Patten has had a career journey like few others, starting out as a child actor before becoming a professional tennis player. During his tennis career, Van Patten ranked as high as No. 25 in the world and even defeated five-time Wimbledon champion and four-time U.S. Open champion John McEnroe to win the Seiko World Super Tennis Tournament in 1981.

Following his tennis career, Van Patten became a WPT commentator and has now taken up professional pickleball.
