The third event for the Major League Pickleball regular season takes place later this month with Vulcan MLP Salt Lake City presented by Margaritaville taking place at The Picklr in Kaysville, Utah. This is the first MLP event to take place in Utah, and the Utah Black Diamonds will be playing in front of the home crowd.

Fourteen total teams will be in action at Vulcan MLP Salt Lake. In the Premier Level — the top level of MLP — ten teams will be participating in this event, including the AZ Drive, Carolina Pickleball Club, Columbus Sliders, Dallas Flash, LA Mad Drops, New Jersy 5s, Orlando Squeeze, St. Louis Shock, Texas Ranchers, and the Utah Black Diamonds.

The only teams in the Premier Level who will not be in attendance are the N.Y. Hustlers and the D.C. Pickleball Team. The Hustlers are currently atop the standings with 18 points. They've also already played the most matches so far with 10. The D.C. Pickleball Team is fourth in the standings with 15 points.

At the challenger level, four teams will be participating including the Bay Area Breakers, California Black Bears, Las Vegas Night Owls, and SoCal Hard Eights. The Atlanta Bouncers, Brooklyn Aces, Frisco Pandas, Miami Pickleball Club, Florida Smash, and Chicago Slice will not be in attendance.

The event will take place from July 25-28. This is the third event after MLP Atlanta took place in May and MLP D.C. took place in June. The next event will take place shortly after, with MLP Kansas City starting on August 3.
